What is the difference between LT and ordinary versions?
AutoCAD LT (short for Lite) is a 2D only version of the full version of AutoCAD. Although 3D drawings can be read and simple 3D drawings can be created you cannot make ‘true’ 3D solids, apply materials, light and render them. The difference is reflected in the price, about £3,000 difference between the two
What spec PC do I need to run AutoCAD?
This will change on a yearly basis as each new version is released in March.
For the latest version, AutoCAD 2011, the specs are as follows

Can I use it on a Mac?
As AutoCAD is PC native with no Mac specific version you will either need an emulator for pre Intel Macs or the ability to boot into Windows and therefore a copy of XP, Vista or Windows 7 for newer Intel powered Macs
