Since 2000 cad4theatre, run by David Ripley, has been providing AutoCAD Training to the Theatre and Entertainment Industries.

I provide training for practitioners in a variety of disciplines across the industry as well as students and their tutors.

The majority of the training is provided via the ABTT and covers AutoCAD versions from 2000/2000i.

This year saw the release by ET Press of AutoCAD - A Handbook for Theatre Users which contains elements of the training course as well as other useful sections

I work at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow as Academy Production Manager. I am also Vice-Chairman of the ABTT Training and Education Committee and a member of the newly founded Profile Group, which represents tutors teaching lighting and lighting design in the UK Higher Education sector.

As well as AutoCAD I have also been known to use WYSIWYG, SketchUp and the odd dabble in VectorWorks
